Jacky and Ben

After nine years together, Jacky and Ben are married at last! Sweethearts since their high school days at the Westover School and Avon Old Farms, their wedding had been planned for over two years and it certainly showed with all the tiny and meticulous details. Like peas and carrots, they are an amazing and fun loving couple that compliments each other in all aspects, which in turn made coordinating their wedding an absolute blast for us in every possible way. Their wedding was especially near and dear to my heart as Jacky graduated in the same class as my sister in law at Westover, and also knows my father in law who has worked at the school for 25 years. Most of their bridal party consisted of high school friends, which was really sweet as they were there when it all began!

What I loved about this wedding is that everything was very VIP, from the suite she got ready in (where we checked in with them) with the fabulous hair and make-up of Naomi's studio and salon, to the ever so posh lounge that was set up at her reception venue, and finally to the crispness of the tent off-set by funky and fun, vibrant pinks and greens. Smooch, it was bee-U-tee ful! See for yourself! The gorgeous linens on the tables and chairs were provided by BBJ Linens out of Boston. They polished off the look of the tent to perfection! All photos taken by the famous/infamous and ever so dynamic duo of Steve Depino and Carla Ten Eyck .

They were married at 5:30 pm under the tent on the back lawn of The Branford House Mansion due to pending rain. Now I know every girl fears rain on her wedding day, but kid you not, it made the ceremony so intimate and lovely. The string ensemble from The Wildwood Groups set the mood and played beautifully.

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour took place inside the Mansion and Emily's Catering put on an excellent spread. Jacky and Ben did-it-up serving the best and most creative cuisine for their guests, case in point a fabulous Jambalaya station, Ceviche Shooters, and Shrimp Lollipops! At this time an amazing candy buffet was set up and everyone went to town loading up their bags with goodies. It was a hit, I tell you!

Post cocktail hour, all guests were called to dinner under the tent. You can see all the fabulous details. Paper designs were done by us, Sixpence Design Services. Jane of Just for You , did a gorgeous job with all the flowers, which were primarily peonies, viberum, and hydrangea. Check out her statement apple arrangement on the card table!

Kurt of Fun Factory DJ's did a great job of keeping the dance floor packed all night long. He did a really fun intro with each bridal party member being introduced to R&B/hip hop that was perfect for their personalities. James from Fran Gagnon captured the entire day on video and was a lot of fun to work with.

Following dinner Emily's was at it again setting up an ice cream bar, chocolate fondue bar, Venetian table and bananas foster station. Jacky and Ben's wedding cake was provided by Margo at Cake Bliss , and it was the best, richest red velvet I have ever tasted. It was a gorgeous display of YUM.

Jacky and Ben, we loved working with you this past year and felt so privelaged to be included in your much anticipated event. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and dreams coming true!
